WHO ARE WE ?

IFMM is a training center helping the development of Montessori education in Switzerland,

certified by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI)

The Maria Montessori Training Institute (IFMM) is a non-profit association, under Swiss law.

IFMM has been offering specialized training since 1999 in the field of early childhood in French-speaking Switzerland.

Montessori pedagogy, widespread on all five continents, sees the child as the Father of Man, and attaches all the importance and attention necessary to the development of the future human being, aware of his responsibilities and capable of forging harmonious relationships. with his fellows and his environment.

IFMM works together with Association Montessori Internationale (AMI),

founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori to promote her new approach to child education, and in close collaboration with the Swiss Montessori Association AM(S).

From 1999 to 2009, the IFMM issued a Montessori National AM(S) diploma "AMI associate course". Permanent pedagogical control was carried out by the AMI to guarantee the quality of teaching.

Since 2011, the IFMM has offered AMI certified training, with international training directors specifically appointed by AMI.

In 2015, Elisabeth Chastel took over the pedagogical direction and Alexis Ramu the administrative direction of the IFMM.

The new team immediately organized a new Montessori AMI Diploma course for 3-6 year olds, and worked to get the IFMM certified as a training center recognized by the AMI.

Since then, the training catalog has grown to cover all age groups (0-3, 3-6, 6-12) and innovate by offering the first Montessori AMI course for the elderly or people with dementia in Continental Europe, and the first AMI Montessori School Administrator or Director course in Europe.

Since 2015, more than 500 people have obtained their Assistant, Administrator / Director, Practitioner certificate, or their Educational Diploma by following training at the IFMM. Will you be next ?
