TRAINING OBJECTIVES

To provide future teachers with the means to apply a different education, namely

- an in-depth knowledge of Montessori psychopedagogy for children aged 3 to 6

- a capacity for respectful observation of the human being based on scientific knowledge

- educational means adapted to the development of the young child, which liberate and enhance all his potential, giving him the pleasure of learning and sharing his knowledge

This diploma gives the possibility to teach in Montessori AMI structures, for grades 3 to 6, all over the world.

Montessori schools are subject to the same requirements as any private school, the Montessori diploma without traditional training is in principle not sufficient to be recognized as a teacher. Although it is not necessary to have a Montessori diploma in order to be admitted to the training, it is strongly recommended to check the licensing requirements of the future professional location.

Objectives of the specialization

To enable each participant to acquire

- complete and in-depth THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE of Montessori psycho-pedagogy, more specifically applied to the 3-6 year old period.

This part includes theoretical lessons on Zoom and on video, assisted reading shares, and presentations requested from the students.

- SPECIFIC SKILLS through the total knowledge of the material and its progression.

The presentation of the material by the course leader or his assistant,

individual exercise by each student until integration,

the preparation of 4 reference binders of this material,

personal presentation by each student with analysis of this practice, assisted by the trainer,

the preparation of material related to child psychology.

Individual exercises with the material provided, under supervision.

- An ANALYTICAL CAPACITY for a constant adjustment to one's educational approach obtained through observation exercises in situations in classes from 3 to 6 years old, with written reports, followed by individual and collective analyses.

-The possibility of confronting one's knowledge with reality, a practical internship in an affiliated school applying the Montessori pedagogy, under the supervision of a teacher approved by the AMI, with a visit by the trainer to the internship site. A theoretical examination on psycho-pedagogical theory and practical application

An oral examination with presentation of the material in a situation and analysis of the presentation.

The examiners are all AMI-approved persons.
